Free or not free

My childhood dreams,
a world open and free.
Many possibilities
awaiting for me.

That‘s what I saw
on the threshold of life,
when someone raw
took away that sight.

Out from the mist
came a voice in the night.
With a lightning blitz
I learned what’s right.

Am I free or am I not free

I saw misery and doubts,
I saw lies and indulgence,
I saw malice sprouting proud,
and understanding in silence

 

Am I free or am I not free,
to stay out of this tragedy

In time for action,
he’ll approace the stage.
And not like in fiction,
you can beware of his rage.

There‘s a time to see,
there’s a time to mourn.
Now’s the time to set free,
our sanity

he’ll come from above.
And not like in fiction,
you can beware of his love.

Am I free or am I not free,
to say us? Or still just me?
